Nicolaas Cilliers completed his Honours degree in Accounting at the University of Stellenbosch in 2017 and went on to do his articles at Baker Tilly Greenwoods, where he gained a strong foundation in audit and assurance services across a range of industries.
After completing his articles, Nicolaas spent two years working on international audit engagements, including on-site busy seasons in Texas and remote audits for Australian clients. This experience provided him with practical exposure to cross-border audits, including the application of both IFRS and U.S. GAAP.
Before joining Baker Tilly Cayman in 2023, Nicolaas completed a specialized crypto training program, strengthening his technical understanding of digital assets and related reporting considerations. His current portfolio consists primarily of investment funds focused on digital assets, alongside a number of private equity funds.
