Lian completed his tertiary studies at the University of Stellenbosch in December 2014, becoming a member of the Golden Key Society. He started his training contract with Baker Tilly in South Africa in 2015 and registered with the South African Institution of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) in January 2018 after successful completion of the training contract. He continued working for Baker Tilly in South Africa as Audit Manager until he joined Baker Tilly Cayman in September 2020.
Lian has more than 9 years of audit and accounting experience with a strong technical competence of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), consolidations and management accounting principles. He has experience in the audit of investment funds and operating companies in various industries including hedge funds, private equity funds, attorneys, agricultural & forestry, manufacturing, real estate, retail and healthcare.
