Kara, originally from Oudtshoorn, South Africa, is a Chartered Accountant who graduated from Stellenbosch University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2019, followed by an Honours Bachelor of Accounting degree in 2020. She completed her articles at Baker Tilly Greenwoods and qualified as a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) in 2024.
Since joining Baker Tilly Cayman in 2024, Kara has built on her auditing experience, which began in 2021, to lead engagements across the captive insurance and operating industries. She has guided audits of companies across sectors including insurance, operating, manufacturing, construction, transportation, and agriculture. Kara’s expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) allows her to navigate complex financial reporting landscapes while supporting and mentoring her team.
