Henning is a South African Chartered Accountant, originally from Cape Town, South Africa. He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor of Accounting degree and obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from Milpark Education.
Henning began his career in financial services in 2017 as a foreign exchange consultant, gaining experience in client onboarding, regulatory compliance and trade execution. He later transitioned into fund administration with the Jersey Trust Company, working in the traditional equities division and gaining experience in NAV preparation and regulatory reporting.
In 2020, Henning commenced his auditing career with JN Chartered Accountants, completing his SAICA articles and gaining exposure to audits across multiple industries. In 2023, he joined Baker Tilly Cayman as an Audit Senior, specializing in audits of hedge funds, private equity funds and alternative investment structures. Henning has in-depth knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP financial reporting, valuation of listed and unlisted investments and fund liquidation audits.
Henning is registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and in addition to his accounting qualifications, has passed the CFA Level I and Level II examinations.
